Are these Original BMW soft covers for fog/driving lights?

I have a pair just like that. Genuine BMW… I think… pretty sure I have seen them in one of their vintage accessories catalogs

If I am BMW I would deny that these were original BMW.

Here is a picture of that cover on display at the BMW museum in Munich.
Notice that the original has the inside elements of the roundel composed of very thin lines. I can’t tell from your photo if it is the same on yours .
Also attached a picture of my covers which appear to be the same as seen in the museum. So I’m calling them original!

This '02 was purchased by a friend recently & has those light covers.

I see a scenario here. For safety BMW wanted to encourage drivers using fog lights, so they provided ugly covers nobody wants to be caught dead using. Contrast that with my Fulvia's beautiful Carello covers. I have not removed them in 7 years, I would rather look cool and drive in the dark.
