I see in the November Roundel that Chris Macha was awarded the Fowler award at the 2014 Legends event. Congratulations Chris!

What an event it must've been!

We had the privilege of attending the Monterey week in 1995 when BMW was the featured marque. At the track, there were about 100 e9 coupes. What a sight! Coupes as far as you could see just about.
 
how fitting for a good friend of Murray's to be honored with this award. congratulations Chris !!!
 
Quite the honor. What does one do to win?

The gear shift in Athena was purchased from Murray a few months before he passed. :(
 
Thank you to all. The Fowler Award is given at Legends for contributions to the marque, it was designed to honor Murray of course. I have volunteered for many years at Monterey as a judge and other duties. I was surprised to say the least, shocked is more like it. My NK was entered by my son as he is a CCA associate member and he did all of the morning cleaning aided by my wife. They are pictured at the bottom of page 52. He took a Third Place award in Super Clean which is exterior, interior and trunk at this event and was thrilled. And I was the proud papa as my wife drove them up to receive their award as I was directing traffic to the awards podium. He also plans to be in Monterey in 2016 to drive the lunchtime parade lap at Laguna Seca with hundreds of other BMW enthusiasts. I hope he learns to drive a stick before then!

Well, he's an arsenal fan and that just about confirms he has excellent taste and lots of patience. Go gooners
 
Another award, well deserved!
Chris could give lessons on cleaning to prep for a concours event and evidently Collin was an apt pupil! If only I absorbed as much!
