Just sharing a couple shots I took up close with the Stella Art car at an event organised by some friends Munich.
Event named "THRASH'em Rythm of speed" by @elevens.co and @hfmstrs on instagram for those interested.

Using a car as a 3D canvas is a great idea, and Frank Stella's use of a graph to highlight the surface shape is brilliant.
If I had an appealing body shape I would use a plaid shirt following Frank's idea.

My stepfather taught drawing at Princeton, and he had Stella as a student. My stepfather's comment: "I couldn't teach him anything".
My Uncle BB had a similar story about Charlie Daniels. Uncle BB had a plumbing company in Kentucky and said Charlie worked for him. Said (with a strong Kentucky accent) he "couldn't sing for sh*t but he shoor could play a faddle"
