I know this isn't going to change anybody's mind, but IMHO, the stock, Cromodora type E9 wheel is the best looking wheel on an E9 (second best looking wheel on an E3 after the stock steel wheels, hubcaps and trim rings). This from a guy that has built more custom, modified, cars and hot rods than stockers (two of my street rods have gone to the Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona). I'm a wheel and tire snob and proud of it. Anybody can put the wheel de jour on an E9. Few if any fit with the overall look of a stock looking E9. With an E9, the wheels are not supposed to make a statement. It's the CAR that makes the statement. The Cromadoras are happy to go along with the same statement the beautiful car makes. All others...not so much.

Yes, performance 14" tires are not to be found. You'll run 3 second slower laps at Laguna with the Cromadoras than your wheels de jour. But are you REALLY concerned about that?

No, I'm not going to snap up the wheels Don is offering. I have 6 already in inventory only because I think they are one of the most beautiful and classic wheels ever made. I'm over my limit. Don't let them go to the smelter.

Don’t hate me but they are not Cromadoras, just plain old BMW fps wheels. If they had six slots they would be on a Dino and be Cromadoras.

Never a fan. WOuld look better on something more italian looking like a FIAT or something like that.

Alpina or BBS RS only wheel for the E9 IMHO.

I have a set of the OE 14" wheels myself...
They are one good weekend day away from being placed on a shelf in the shop and becoming garage art. They look lovely - but finding tires for them is a challenge (and I have Alpina look wheels on my car anyway). But still - I will keep them just because.
I also have my OE hubcaps from my 1973 2002 that I will put up there also. I took the original wheels off and installed wider (tii) 13" wheels back in 1984 or so... and then later moved up to 14" bottlecaps. But I kept the hubcaps from the first wheels as they looked cool hanging on my (at the time) garage wall.
