From Automatic to 4 speed to 5 speed?

Hi all, I want to go from my Auto trany on my 72 to five speed. For some reason the archive posts I have read it seems its easier to go 4 speed from automatic? is this so or is there just a price differance from 4 to 5 speed. Regarding the clutch pedal on my 72 what must be done to install it. I recall reading you just add the clutch to existing pedal set?

Auto to 5 spd

I have an outline for doing the auto to 5 spd conversion on my 76 '02 that is probably 95% the same process. I'll email it to you in Word. It will give you a good starting point to ask specific questions and save time.
