When I removed my front bumper from the parts car before she left, my wife said "that wasn't fun in the dirt...", to which I said, "have gravel, will travel". Yes...a little PIA, and the shoulder...Sux getting older.

Body still at paint shop ... the windscreens are being trial fitted today - all the doors and gaps are now spot on and looking great.

Put the engine on the subframe last night, and now I need to start putting all the little bits on the engine - the HT leads need to go in the tube, power steering pump, dip stick tube to clean and paint - fan... etc etc
Lots of grubby finger marks on the engine - so needs a clean...

Has anyone use a clear stain finish clear heat proof lacquer spray on the engine to help clean easy???

Nice Alpine in the background Marc. I had a series II and a series IV as a younger man. Much fun

Have you checked out ACF-50 spray for your engine aluminium ?

Marc, You are going to need to shorten the strut bearing bolts. Those are the longer ones used with the alu strut spacers that went under the fender.
