Wallothnesch only sell front calipers as pairs therefore does anyone have any links to decent aftermarket calipers ?. I would buy a pair if push comes to shove but I only need one (LH) and figured there are bound to be alternatives. The usual searches produce lots of calipers that are completely wrong despite using the part number suggested on RealOEM (34111101093). I'm UK based so not looking much further afield than that. I've sent an email to Jaymic but thry're on holiday until the 22nd.

You cannot salvage what you have? Despite New England weather, my 50 y.o. E3 calipers were all rebuildable IF the bleeder screws could be removed intact.

What about Schmiedmann?

Here’s the list- you come in with a bad one of these and you leaving with 2 new ones at my shop.
If one calipers is shot after 50 years- they are both shot.

Calipers
Rotors
Pads
Tires
Shocks
Strut bearings
Control arms
Tierods

All worn parts replaced in pairs.

The caliper is perfect apart from one sheared bleed screw. I just don't want it laid up waiting on it being repaired however I may just do so as it won't take long. Sods law really, I was changing the fluid and the very last nipple went despite removing, cleaning and greasing the threads a few years ago and changing the fluid every two years. Just one of those things, the thread took a bite and it sheared with very little force, no more than it took to slacken the other seven.

I sheared a bleeder screw, I went to a hardware store in Phoenix called Mc Fadden Dale and was able to buy 7mm Hellicoils They worked perfectly. A friend showed me a great way to remove frozen screws/bolts. You drill it, not out, until a :shell is left. Then using an icepick etc, You can then collapse the bolt etc. Inward on itself and it works without damaging the thread
