What have people used? I have tried two and they are not wide enough to meet up with the front bumper holes. I am stuck as Ma requires a front plate.

In Washington State, you don't have to run a front license plate IF you have a collector car plate or a Year of Manufacture plate. Maybe the same in Massachusetts?

Any car that looks good with a front license plate....looks better without one.

His mount is nice but also buy the two T shaped rear mounts so your plate doesn’t hang below the bumper which just looks wrong.

Rob--I have those 2 "T" shaped rear mounts if you decide you want your front plate to fit in front and not below your front bumper. I bought the CoupeKing mount for my rear plate.

Set on back plate. Drew, ship me an image and see if I can work it. Otherwise I will make one. Thanks for all your responses.

bfeng: green plates =only back but they are trying to phase these out. All other plate types (and only ones now available) require a front one. Ticket without it and knowing this state, it is a moving violation with points on your license, just like an overdue inspection sticker.

Andrew, thanks. I am going to try to make one since everything else on the car is handmade. The idea is simple. If success, I will post dimensions. I know Home Depot has thin rebar which will probably do the trick.

Same here in Oregon. Before I got collector plates two or three years ago, I irresponsibly just ran with a rear plate. I figure if a cop pulled me over, he'd probably just want to check out my car anyway. I did keep the other plate under the front seat passenger just in case.

I'm still not in compliance because my collector plate has a '72 tag on it. I have the correct sticker in the glove box.
