Has anyone had any problems with fitment of new front fenders. I recently purchased two front fender panels from W&N that the body shop is telling me are not as close a match as they should be. Apparently the inside corners where the rear of the hood are beveled off are not the same. There is a much larger reveal gap then the original.

Has anyone had any such issues with new fenders? I assumed that there was only one manufacturer that stamped out these hoods. True?

Thanks.

Update

More photos describing the issues with the new front fenders and door skins (steel):
The more we got into the fitting, the more we realized how bad the new fenders were. I hope that there are some better sources out there, if not, expect some additional cost in working these. Or perhaps, I just got a bad batch.

The two photos of the rear corner of the hood show the incorrect shape of the new fenders. The left side gap was way too wide (as well as the gap along both sides). The right side was way too tight (see the pencil line indicating the shape of the original fender).

The combination of the new door skins and fenders made for horrible gap issues.

Given these conditions we decided to reuse the existing front fenders and use pieces out of the new fender to replace some rusted-through areas of the existing. This improved the front door gap and the hood gaps are as they should be.

The other issue with the new fenders was that the crease line (about 15 cm down from the top) did not match the gentle arc of the original fenders. There was a pronounced change in direction noticable at the door gap.
