Hi all: Please excuse me, if I have got this completely in the wrong place, or if I'm doing it wrong, as I have never posted on a forum before, let alone this one.
I have the two front seats from my 1971 E9 CS in my garage. I probably comitted a crime 30 odd years ago, when I removed them.
I know many loved the blue velour arm chairs, but I wanted something a little more sporty.
Anyway, the other crime, comitted, was leaving them in a poorly protected shed and they are now, in an absolutely dreadful state.
In my eyes, they are fit for the dump, but it occured to me, that given parts can be rare, someone, somewhere, may just need these.
I can't imagine, who that might be, or who would be prepared to restore them, but I thought I should check before they head to the dump.
I'm not looking for any cash for them, just trying to avoid, yet another crime.
Over the years, I have scanned the threads on this forum, to find answers to various E9 problems, but never signed up, or joined in.
Just wanted to say a big thanks to all those that have contributed, especially the guys in the USA, who always seem to take things to another ''level'', which has been extremely helpful and interesting. Many thanks Matt

Hi Matt - if you didn't have anything stacked on top of them, they probably can be recovered and restored. Hopefully you can find them a new home.

Many thanks for engaging Chris... Noooo they are way past simply covering,, I don't even want to say what condition they are in. It would be quite litterally be the frame structure and maybe some of the workings.. This was really grasping at straws,, I just hate the idea of chucking them and feel extremely bad, that I allowed this to happen.... :(

Matt - why don’t you post some pictures as well as your location and I’m sure someone will be able to find some use for them. And good on you to try to recycle them here rather than just the dump!
