FRONT SPEAKERS

HI CAN SOMEBODY PLS ADVISE ME THE BEST WAY TO MOUNT SPEAKERS AT FRONT OF CAR, WITH OUT BUTCHERING DOOR CARDS.MANY THANKS

I've got some slim 5.25" speakers mounted in the front kick panels. It is hard to find speakers thin enough to do this with. When they were mounted the installer glues screw clips behind the panel for the screw to grab on. Otherwise the speaker floats on panel and the panel is fixed to the body. I can't say I would have done this myself but it seems to work. I seem to recall doing a quick market survey and I could not find any speakers as "thin" front to back as mine. The good news is that the slim speakers are also inexpensive.

Please excuse lack of door panels. I haven't rebuilt them yet.

Speaker popped out. The depth is critical. I seem to recall mine are about 1 5/8" deep. Hard to find!

This isn't the way I would have gone about it but I guess it works.
