I have a front subframe that has both tow hooks intact....if your subframe has a ripped towhook, might lead to the box section holding the strut rod cracking.

just sayin....

From what I can see from matching same year Bav in this case 73' to same year CS 73' some of the main components such as engine support rails L. & R. do seem to match up. I don't know how many pieces I need to check on. Al when you say front subframe, that can mean a lot of parts or a few to me. Are you just talking about subframe engine support rails? Or all the subframe? Hooks, control arms, sway bars, bushings, etc.? I'm still not sure you are talking E3 or E9, if E3 then I know it will fit fine, or I should say should fit fine.

Let me know in a PM or whatever but can you post some pics of what you have for sale? Always easier to know exactly what you have. What I am looking for is the Passenger side engine support rail of my car has a slight wrinkle from a side swipe a while back. I was going to have it pulled straight because it is messing up my hood alignment a bit. I'm not sure if easier to swap some subframe pieces out or to pull the piece I have straight? I am not even sure that would solve my problem but I don't think it will hurt. I can take some pictures as well to show you what I am talking about.
