front wheel arch stone guard

On my e9 there is nothing stopping stones getting thrown up onto the A post or past it to the back of the front wing. I think this is original and obviously half the reason for the rot but has anyone fabricated a barrier for this alone and not a whole wheel arch protector?

They produce aluminium protection inlays for the frontfenders of the E9, price 130€, they fit perfect !

How do these attach to the inside of the wing?

Mostly trough fitting accuracy and with 3 small srews for safety, thats all !
A colleague have them, they are great !

For the DIY crowd, you can salvage plastic liners from any Volvo 200 series and modify them for peanuts. Tony (velocewest) penned a how-to on the CSR:

I use the 'glass ones from http://www.zaprace.com/csltext.htm

The left side fits so well that I didn't need to use fasteners, but the right side does not fit at all so I run without it. The upside is that I get to compare with/without and its clear that the guards block a ton of stuff.

I am considering switching to the aluminum Lokaris, which can be bent if necessary for the perfect fit.

With either option, the downside is the chance of water getting past the guards and not draining.

Would be nice to find something that just covers the rear of the arch.
