FS: 1969 Cylinder Head-Edit-head is cracked.

Cylinder head from 1969 E3 2800. Measures approx. 129mm thick, do not THINK it has been surfaced ever. With non-machinist quality tools, appears to be approx. .015” from flat. Someone on board said not a good idea to ship a non-pressure tested head across the country and I agree, so we can talk about that if anyone is interested in this head. Make offer, or of course, free to sfDon. Well, in exchange for 15 minutes of tech support....in fact, will deliver to sfDon, as I am in Davis, CA.

Trivia: These early heads had the oil pressure sensor mounted at the lower edge of the head.

Is that a crack in the 1st pic with the ruler and feeler gauge?

i would agree with our Southern gentleman friend Mr. Steve that there does appear to be a crack.

OK, this Alex guy should look a little closer at the parts he's peddling! The sad thing is that I had a really fun summer job while in college at an aluminum cylinder head shop in Chico, CA. Guess I was better at college than cylinder heads. Yes, upon closer inspection, not only is there the crack shown in the #3 cylinder, but another in the #4, AND #2 as well. I guess the best way to enjoy this head is as a recycled aluminum beer can full of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale in a year or so. Sorry group! Thanks to Steve and sfDon for pointing this out.
