I am helping a friend sell his beloved 1973 2002. This car has an interesting story, a bit of a world traveler. One indication of its originality is the original factory break-in sticker on the driver's side windshield. But enough about my "originality" obsession.

This 2002 in original, near perfect condition was delivered to Palermo, Sicily in the summer of 1973 to its first owner, Ms. C, born in 1925. Imagine this boxy, four seater, sleeper running with the curvaceous Alfas and Ferraris. In 2007 the car moved to Northern Italy where it lived in an enthusiast's garage until 2020 when it was acquired by Oldenzaal of the Netherlands. David, purchased the car from Oldenzaal after they rebuilt the numbers matching engine and head, including rings, bearings, timing chain and pistons. Wearing its second respray in original Atlantik Blue, the odometer reads 160,000 kilometers, approximately 95,000
miles. Oldenzaal replaced the plugs, points, wiring, cap, rotor and condenser, adding new coolant hoses, filters and fuel lines. Front brake calipers were rebuilt along with new pads, rotors, brake hoses, new rear brake cylinders, hoses, and fluid. Both clutch cylinders are new along with new subframe bushings and tie-rods. All done in the last three years and fewer than 10,000 kilometers.
The extensive photos of the interior, undercarriage, engine bay and trunk confirm the exceptional condition and mileage. Everything works including the original clock just returned from North Hollywood Speedometer where it was rebuilt. The radio is the original “BMW Bavaria” dealer installed option. Three Classic Car mechanics were seriously impressed by this car and its condition.
I am fascinated by small details like the Euro amber/clear, flat front turn signals and the unusual ball-shaped rear view mirror knob. But what also impresses me is the never seen original factory break in sticker inside the driver's side windshield. A confirmation of the original glass and the car's original condition. The perfect headliner, carpets, seats, and the two original vinyl strips that run along the base of the shock towers also attest to this '02's original, untouched condition.
The chrome and trim are in excellent condition, small flaws shown in the photos. The Atlantik Blue is in good condition with any flaws also shown in the photos.
The car is always garaged under the cover(it comes with the car). Along with the usual maintenance and replacement parts shown in the receipts, David has added a passenger side mirror and a hard-wired trickle charger. New visors, original owner's manual and a new water pump are also included.
Price: $28,000. OBO email me at: [email protected] Steve O'Neill
