I nrecently contacted a person who is parting out a 1982 535i. If some of the parts are interchangeable and you may need please contact me.

If it is a manual car I think it should have the getrag 265 tranny, right? I
If so, I'm interested, depending on car milage and price of course...
 
yep, the 533i started in 1983, the only exception would be a possible euro 535i ... which would have the gold standard euro b34 (10:1 compression)
 
Koopman, perhaps you can confirm just what this car is. Per Scott, there shouldn't be an 82 535. According to realoem, closest thing seems an 81 Euro m535 - which should be saved if possible... Or an 84 535?
 
The 535i wasn't available until 1985 in e28 form, and no '82 535 in any form. Any 1982 six cylinder bmw with a 5 speed would(should) be a 265/6. Unfortunately the fact that there is a speedo drive present is only a maybe.
