Are we talking regulators or motors?
Hi Marcos,
Will have both. I am working a source who has 4 motors with gear boxes., and also regulators for all 4 doors. If I do get them 2 of the motors are spoken for.

E28 rear window motors are what is usually recommended (I have no idea what e28 front window motors look like). The key is getting motors with eight tooth drive gears. BMW's later than the e28 used 10 tooth drive gears - those won't mesh properly with the large driven gear on the e9 regulator.
I can't comment on whether a 5 series regulator will fit an e9.
