FS @ BAT Auctions: 1972 BMW Bavaria Malaga with 3.3L swap in Carmel, CA.

With a $3.3K current bid and NO RESERVE w/ 5 days to go this might be a good find for somebody. Tan interior, complete tool set. Was claimed to be daily driven for years until fairly recently. Third owner with extensive history however did have front passenger side damage from ad description and pictures. Was taken down to bare metal and Malaga match doesn't look that great to me with some rust bubbles. Rest of car may not be that bad, definitely would want an inspection in person. Even though it was hit, doesn't mention if Salvage title anywhere I could see. And please don't confuse ad with a real 3.3L like Mike's. This is just referring to the motor swap, (L = Liters in this case, not the L = LWB). And not sure why the lighter color seats when reupholstered to not match door cards. to each their own.

With a bare metal respray 10 years ago and the presence of visible bubbling rust in the lower fenders and doors, I suspect that the car has been a "Beach" car since moving to Carmel. My thought is the salt air damage may not be confined to the visible bubbles and a more thorough inspection would be prudent for any prospective buyer.
