Used camshaft for E3, E9, E12, and E24. According to realoem.com the part number is 11 31 1 254 979. Stamped on the shaft is "1250057" and on the end is "3". The camshaft was originally purchased from World Wide Trading and was installed in a 528i in the mid to late 1980's. The car ran poorly and we soon discovered the box was mismarked and we had the wrong camshaft.
This was another expensive lesson to remind one to check all products before installation. So needless to say this camshaft was used only for a very, very short time and has been in storage since.
I believe the camshaft is fairly priced at $245.00. I am located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
