I have seen a lot of coupes and am currently maintaining a sales price database, here is Haggerty's Condition 4:

"daily drivers, with flaws visible to the naked eye. The chrome might have pitting or scratches, the windshield might be chipped. Paintwork is imperfect, and perhaps the fender has a minor dent. The interior could have split seams or a cracked dash. No major parts are missing, but the wheels could differ from the originals, or the interior might not be stock. A #4 car can also be a deteriorated restoration. "Fair" is the one word that describes a Hagerty Price Guide #4 car"

Sorry to the seller, from the photos this coupe would be a stretch, starting with the fenders. Condition 5 is more accurate IMO without seeing it in the flesh. The underside pic also shows the bottom of A pillars rusting away along with rockers, bent rear bumper, interior in poor shape, is that rust at leading edge of body above trim strip?

I agree with Brendan. I did a walk around and the visible rust through areas are likely the tip of the iceberg, and I'm not brave enough to tackle a job that big.

A agree with the seller's assessment:

"Any money put towards this car will only raise the value of this investment."

Nonetheless, I can't see the value of the finished product exceeding the dollars "invested" to bring it back properly.

Saw this car yesterday and it needs everything, really a basket case other than it runs and drives and who knows how that is - wouldn't even make a decent parts car as most of the parts are rusted, thrashed interior, etc. It being a running driving car doesn't justify the $18.2K big ask on this one....I'd balk at paying $3K for this....most out there will be better.....worst rust I've seen on a body in a long time, and bondo-rama everywhere
