I recognise this car from my days working at Cronks BMW Dealership, it was always very well kept. Around 1980 BMW tried to buy the car but the owner didn`t sell.

I guess they’ve left it dirty to prove “long time storage”. Would it hurt the value to clean it up a little bit?
It would present so much better IMHO.

I spoke to someone today who saw this car last week and he said the bones are very fragile

Alex am I right in thinking that Cronks were in Redhill?

No they were in a very old cold wet garage (BMW were not impressed....) in Chipstead near Coulsdon but moved to Redhill around mid `80`s and then became Vines and moved again to their current place.

Ah ok, that's good info! I wrongly assumed they'd always been in Redhill all along. Every is a school day etc!
