Curious to see where this ends up, 22 bids up to $11,211 in less than 24 hours... looks like its already being shill bidded.

My favorite part is the "runs and drives great - daily driver" with the truck and empty trailer in the background to drive it to the golf course to take pictures. :D

I love the nuts on the strut bearings! Poor respray over fjord, rust popping out, TRX wheels and wrong interior, what could go wrong?

I don't hate it. It kind of has an '80's restomod theme. Definitely has some front-end damage. Those TRX wheels are pretty! Lastly, there is no real way of knowing but I suspect that it has been resprayed, possibly even a color changed. :D

Certainly enough red flags to warrant extreme caution. Euro car that was in Arizona for 20 years with no A/C - yikes. Maybe it was in Flagstaff (not likely) or only driven by a snowbird during AZ winters (more likely?) Given the general wear, tear and rust all around, you would expect the dash to be more crapped out than it is......

I don't have the answer to this question, perhaps other members know. The car has some front-end body damage, particularly above and also to the left of the passenger headlights. Also, there is a cut in the kidney grille right where a bumper would hit it, and the sheet metal near the upper left portion of the kidney looks off. What I'm wondering is, given that the passenger door alignment is off, is that kink in the front fender in front of the passenger door from a side impact or is it from the front-end collision?

It has a 'unleaded only' tag on the dash. Did someone add a cat to the exhaust?
Even the later BMWs had thermal reactors for a few years before going to catalytic converters.

what kind if dink paints the tires
stupid
definatewly been hit on the right front as the sheet metal isnt
straight at all and the grille is warped

well, at the very least, this helps me really appreciate how fortunate I am to have the Coupe that I own now. As these cars get older, all the weaker ones look even more fragile and frightening...yikes! Mike

Those front towers look like they are struggling to hold the shocks down... I think this one is hiding plenty of rust. Presents well and is nice to look at from a distance, but it is already past what I think it is worth at 14k.

Now says sold @17.5k.
I reckon it's probably an okay starter E9 to drive and at the same time do some ongoing improvements/fixes. I sure would remove those bizarre red stripes off the otherwise stunning BBS wheels.

It always amazes me that when people paint cars they don't mask stuff a little better? If you add up all the time it takes to get the body prepped and the paint gun(s) clean etc, etc, it would be just a flash to cover things with some paper and tape and make it look like there was some care in the job. I just don't get it :-(
