For Sale is the personal, never to be sold, CSiL of the coupeguy. This original Inka coupe was delivered to Verona, Italy and was subsequently purchased by a US military officer and imported to the USA in approximately 1985. It was purchased in Texas by Coupeguy between 1995 and 2000. This is an original lightweight / non-streetpack car. All original sheet metal is present along with alloy hood and trunk - no signs of any significant body work due to crash or rust other than new paint in its original Inka color within the last 5 or so years. The alloy door skins were replaced due to galvanic corrosion, sourced from W+N. Rear windshield + windows were always plexiglass, replaced with new units from Coupeking. It is in excellent condition - visually and operationally. The original CSL air dam was damaged by a previous owner and has been replaced. The CSL stripes are not installed, but a set of the side stripes come with the car. The car also comes with a passenger trapezoidal mirror that has not been installed.

This is the cleanest lightweight in original condition that Dan has ever seen, keeping it for himself. Dan is getting up in age and its time to see this car be conserved by a new owner. The car lives in northern (rural) Colorado, northwest of Denver. The car is for sale for $195,000. Call 970.215.4109 or email [email protected] for more information, pics or offers.

Worldwide, Inka is a rare and extremely expressive color on a coupe. I only know of 9 inka 2275xxx CSL and only 3 are verified in the last few years. I also know 11 of the 169 carb CSL. 029 (this car), 236 (Switzerland in 2011), 268 (was in Massachussets in 2010), 313 (in Los Angeles), 331 (in Germany in 2013), 384 (NY - for sale in 2024) and 533 (a Bat 1 - Poland 2013).

Underneath the large hole plugs in the floors are original. The exhaust was replaced with a stainless unit sourced from W+N. The correct 5 hole Alpina 14" wheels that came with the car are still on the car and have Yokohama 225 / 60-14s mounted. The suspension has been gone through with ST sway bar, new Bilsteins + springs, and all bushings replaced. All routine maintenance items done regularly.

The original Scheel Mann seats are still in the car, they have been recovered with the correct materials, sourced through Gerrit. The original Petri wheel has been professionally recovered several years ago in Europe smooth leather with all original adapter and cover. The dash and dash wood are all original and in excellent condition with no cracks or wood deterioration.

This is the car that got me hooked on finding and owning an orange CSL... Dan is an interesting guy and has always been very helpful to me.

This sounds like a great buy. If I hadn't bought my CS last year........
you know, there is always the option of selling yours and trading up ... just saying ...

FYI - since i have been asked by DM, i will answer the question for anyone curious - I have only posted this for Dan, I have nothing to do with the sale of this coupe, the ownership and do not materially participate in the sale.

And i appreciate it Scott, but you can also contact me with questions. it is a good buy, and i want it to go to someone who will keep it in the condition it should be. [email protected] is my email.
I just wanted to add a word about condition of my car, I rate it a solid no. 2 excellent. all accurate, all in great kit, no disappointments here.

i have added a few more pix to the original post - the firewall VIN, a pic of one wheel, the windshield temper stamp and the perspex stamp on the rear.

of all the 2275xxx CSL in the ancestry project, 029 is the 11th in the line of known cars. BTW, 6 of those 11 haven't been heard of in quite some time.

Was just looking at this beauty, noticed that in the original post the email ends in msm.com, which I suspect is a typo of msn.com - may want to correct, as I wouldn’t want the potential buyer to miss out because of one wrong letter. Although if we are changing things around and you want to make 195 into 95 you’ve got an immediate buyer here
