IIRC, there are metal tabs on the body that hold it down. Similar to the vertical panel that the trunk light is connected to.

Parcel shelf uses clips like door cards but really not needed as the seat and window rubber pretty much holds it in place.

yes I remember now, there was a thin sheet of foam over plywood to hide the top of the fasteners, I didn't want the foam so I used flush mounted screw posts
