Just uncovered a Sanden 508 style compressor and bracket I pulled from a 73 3.0 CS in the garage that I have no use for. It was functional when pulled about three years ago. It was charged with R12 refrigerant but could easily be swapped for R134a. I'll be putting it up on ebay and will post a link to the auction when I get it on there. In the meantime here are a few pics.

That appears to be the same setup that is on my E12 based 6 series. I just replaced the Sanden with a new Seltec unit and it still bolts up the same as shown in the above pictures. Reason for replacing is I don't know if the Sanden worked or not, and since I am under full restoration, I wanted everything new and got a better deal on the Seltec

Hi!

I am looking for a new compressor. Can you please give me some information about your new Seltec compressor? (type, model)

I will go take a look and post info here as well as pm you. Yes, it bolted up to the original BMW bracket that was on my M30 engine. I did fabricate adjusters which are no more than a slotted piece of 3/32" steel. I also have a used Sanden compressor. Can't attest to condition other than it turns. I have the complete aftermarket a/c kit from an early 635 which includes the evaporator and box, fan motor, auxilliary fan and condenser. I have the wiring too, but it is a convoluted mess. PM me if interested
