FS Valve adjustment tool $9.00

Is this the real deal? Probably not BMW OEM but is it the same shape as the OEM tool? I've been thinking about getting one, is this it?

Stan that is me on Ebay.

They are a copy of what Sam Stagg is selling for $13.50 shipped. They are machine bent and exact duplicates. As I said before, I also will sell them in conjunction with a blue cloth for a package deal at $45 shipped. Or,$9.00 shipped for the tool alone

Coming in the next week or so, I will have a complete and immaculate tool kit with red handled screw drivers in the later type tray as used in the early e12s . I also have blades for a small screwdriver, brand new as original for $10 shipped

Again, people here who have bought from me know anything I sell will be in prime condition.

I bought two. Exactly as described.

Meant to mention though that the envelope was screwed. Ripped, crumpled, mangled, etc. I'm surprised that the contents were still in there. Guess it got hung up in a machine somehow. FYI.

I have no clue as to the workings of the post office. I do know that if an envelope is over a certain thickness it should be sent as a package rather than a letter. Most of the clerks at the post office know this, but once in a while I am sure one of them screws up. I think the reason is that over a certain thickness the won't fit through the sorter.

But, what really matters, is that you get your goodies and get them intact

if you have ever seen an envelope with some coins in it ... shoot thru a sorter, you can understand what happened. you gotta put something like that in a small (ok, very small) box

Well, I figured it out.. Either thoroughly taped to a piece of cardboard or pushed into a thin piece of foam and well taped over.

I have mailed a lot of small items like the prisms and the postal worker told me to write
"HAND CANCEL NON-MACHINABLE" on the outside of the envelope.
Seems to have worked.

Just to add in case it isn't clear, he did wrap them in cardboard in the envelope. They weren't just the adjustment tools thrown in an envelope, so he did do due diligence. But I am guessing the cardboard got hung up.

The "Hand Cancel" thing is a good idea.

They could have also gotten dropped and stepped on or something. Not sure. Just thought I'd mention it for future reference. Would suck for them to get lost in the mail.

And yes, they are great quality tools. Appreciate them.

Glad you are happy. Interesting story about those. I bought 100 of them as I found a guy in India who was going to make the small handles for me. After much assurance from him and the fellow who got me the blades I sent him a high three figure deposit even though my gut said "uhh uhh" You guessed it. No handles no refund. On top of that, the guy had the cojones to send me an Xmas greeting. I wished all the bad karma in the world to him and his family on the "greeting" I sent back. Funny thing is at 72, I knew better, but wanted those handles so badly I threw caution to the wind. I guess it's sort of like the greed factor. The juicier a deal looks, the dumber you get.

Please put the word out as I still have 92 left.

Talk to you somewhere in the future.

Bert

I recieved my tool and cloth in the mail safe and sound without any damage to the envelope. They now reside beautifully in my tool kit.
