Selling an excellent long block-- less manifolds and carburetors. Motor ran great but customer just wanted some extra HP so we obliged with an upgraded motor swap. Accepting offers. Shown by appointment only in Sonoma, Calif. Can crate and ship at buyers expense. THANKS

A first post selling something with no price on here is a big red flag. Do you have any references or people we may know on this board? You say, "customer just wanted some extra HP." I know Sonoma very well, that must mean you are a shop. What shop are you with?

We've had some scam attempts lately, so good questions here by @Nachtycoupe.

Dear Seller, If you want to increase your selling potential, it will be helpfull to indicate where you are and a price isn't mandatory but could be helpful.

What engine number is on the block? It may be helpful to identify what it is (or was at some point in it's life)

Did BMW have the 3.0/3.3 marking on the water jacket in the 1972 engines? My 72 doesn't have this and I thought this came along later in the 70s when the displacement was increased. As Erik notes, the engine number on the block would clear this up.

PM sent.
