I'm making a surge tank with four lines for my fuel system and am having trouble finding an online source of 8mm barbed or flared fuel fittings to weld to a small tank. I'm try to avoid the AN fittings which have weld in bungs.

Any suggested links?

Looks like you are looking for aluminum fittings and not steel or brass. You mentioned weld and I am assuming you intend to Tig or heliarc the device. This may be a shot in the dark, but how about anyone that fits hydraulics in your neck of the woods? More specifically, anyone who handles aeroquipt or Earls fittings.

See for example Summit or Jegs: http://www.jegs.com/v/Earl%27s/361 or

Give Baker precision a call?

I would think anyone that fixes aircraft/ helicopters should have something you can use. Are you near an airport?

Then there's always your neighborhood plumbing supply?

MMercury:
Lots of choices in the AN stuff and readily available. I was going to use steel for the tank if I could find the flare or bulb fittings in a weld on but may have to use Earl's NPT to barbed end (alu to alu) and just weld it on without the bung.

Sorry, your attachment looked like it was made of aluminum or a related alloy. If steel is your preference, and you can't find a local speed shop, I might be inclined to cannibalize something from another car OR use some steel tubing and flare the ends OR braze a brass/copper fitting like one might commonly find at a plumbing supply.

Then, there is always Grainger:

or McMaster Carr: http://www.mcmaster.com/#
