Hope I've used the right name for this - but the fuel injection pressure regulator on the fuel rail is leaking, at least I think it is not one of the tubes.

Is this common ?

And is it possible to replace this without also removing major parts to gain access ? it's difficult to tell.

And one more thing, in my haines manual it says that it is matched with the ECU, and both should be replaced at the same time. Does anyone have any idea what the normal approach is ?

Thanks,

Damien

Damien, its the manifold pressure sensor thats matched with the ecu not the fuel pressure regulator.

As for ease of access. You may have to remove to of the intake pipes but they are easy although new seals are a good idea.

Thanks, that helps, I'll have another look this evening and see if I can at least establish where the leaks are before getting a new one.

It seems I have a badly leaking pipe after all, that's a relief. No wonder I've been using so much petrol.

I may need to remove the two intake pipes to do it though just as you say, I'm glad you mentioned that, as it looked to me like the six pipes were all one part.

Thanks again.

Damien
