I need to run a new fuel line from the engine compartment to the trunk. The CS fuel line/CSi return line - 16121113488 - would be perfect but is NLA. Is the CS return line - 16121107875 - is it metal or plastic?

My CS only has the fuel line (no idea what happened to the return) so can't answer this question.

The CS does not have a return pipe.

I bought the 6121107875 from Maximillian's a couple of years ago. It is steel and matches the CS supply line. It shipped already bent to shape.

Napa may have generic tubing (that you could easily bend into shape) for much less than BMW Mobile. Just provide the OD, length, and verify any thread dimensions if applicable.

Interesting point on cost. The local BMW for the OEM was over $110, the generic coil with flare ends or fittings (Classic Tubes) was $29 and the OEM from BluntTech was $32 so I'll go the OEM whenever I can as long as it isn't from the dealer.

Guess the dealer isn't interested in the Mobile Tradition concept of promoting the brand through support of the classics.
