I am thinking of painting my fuel tank to make it look better. What color and texture should I use? What about inside my wheel wells?

thanks

I would use a semi gloss black on the entire tank and then spray a texture material on the bottom side Stops the rocks from chipping the paint and actually does make the fuel slosh quieter I like to have my wheel wells done with a chip guard material and then painted same color as the car That's how I finish them off but others may have another opinion

Thanks, Rick

Are you mixing your own paint? If not, Eastwood has two part epoxy products in spray cans. I suspect they would have a chassis color. As far as the wheel wells go, the most authentic looking product is going to be rocker schutz, but I'm not sure if it is still out there and it requires a special gut to shoot it. Other great products are SEM self etching primer covered with their Trim Black which are both available in spray cans. The trim black has lasted more than a decade on my trim, but I must add that I used PPG epoxy primer under it. I would find a local auto body supply house and pick their brains there if you cannot find answers here though. Good luck!
