gas door

Nice writ up by Sven, wish I had read it before my first attempt. A good athletic sock over the door gives a little more working room and may be easier to manage than a towel but the idea is the same... don't scratch the paint :-)
 
I managed to insert several fingers in between the latch and the body of my car when removing the flap. I am not looking forward to reassembly.
