Gas pedal

I need a gas pedal for a 72 std. Mine just broke at the ( stupid ) joint for the rod fits thru.

I know that I can get a new one from W & N but would check here first

It shows 9/73 and later which is strange, I wonder what the difference could be.

There is also 2 different part #'s for the lever that fits into it Looking at pictures of both , the pick up point for each pedal is different, earlier ones are about 1 in from the top while the later ones have that coming right out from the top. later ones would probably work but I would be worried that the little piece of plastic that holds the pickup point to the pedal would be stressed and crack off fairly quickly

Has anyone tried a newer pedal on an older car?

Hi Rick,
There is some confusion around the gas pedals that should fit the E9. So, I ordered the less expensive one from BMW. No way it fits my '72. Eventually procured a W&N one for my car and fits perfectly. Huge, unreasonable, price difference. But we should be used to that by now. So, I have this BMW pedal, just sitting here.
No, nothing about a Langley Meet. I think they have a hard time finding judges that can evaluate the wide range and models that show up. Ask me how I know,

My 72 uses the one in the image posted by Teahead, available at the dealer, not cheap for what it is.

Geeze, I just looked it up, like 160 bucks. Covid and supply chain stuff have really caused price gouging. I bought mine 2 years ago for around 90 dollars at the dealer.
