This has probably been discussed before, but i wanted to share a couple of pictures i snapped of the gauges i recently picked up from Parker Performance. I'd been looking for something to take the place of the speaker grill in my dash and had long considered introducing a few auxiliary gauges into the cabin. Did a little looking for a few weeks and settled on the Parker kit for the 3.0cs. The kit comes complete with three gauges, the mounting plate (crinkle coated), custom wiring kit, all senders and necessary hardware as well as complete install instructions. My preference was to source a set of vintage gauges but the few that i found required a little work to bring them up to snuff and were $$$. So, i settled on the classic style VDO gauges (an option for the 3.0cs kit). Still wish they had white needles as opposed to red, but for $265 for the whole shabang, i'm not complaining...the little splash of color is actually growing on me a bit. Anyway, they aren't wired yet and i still have to finish making new mounting tabs to secure the plate, but i'll post an update when complete if anyone is interested in the procedure. Sorry for the blurry shots.

Oh, forgot to mention that the mood lighting is courtesy of Mr Alvin Tan. Thanks for the light, Alvin. :-)

VDO with white needles, but be carefull, the needles are transparent, they only seem white :

VDO with red needles, i have found a source where i can let change the needles to white and also the rings to chrome for 25€ each :

Next time- VDO series 1 gauges .....Chrome bezels, white needles look best IMHO. Available from several sources. Do an ebay search- "vdo series 1"

Ed,

I saw those but didnt care for the extra detail in the bezel. However, i do agree that the white needles are a better period match. My ideal would be either of the gauge sets Orangener shows in his first two pictures.
