Gauge Mounting Advice
I'm just looking for a bit of advice here. I just received my refurbished gauges from N. Hollywood Speedometer and am about to re-install them in their new Bela wood set. I have been informed by Bill (in Sammamish) that the original mounting process for the gauges was to solder the lip of the black rings to the mounting surface. After close observation I realize Bill is correct. Because of this technique, two of my old black rings were loose when I removed the old dash.
Has anyone used any other techniques to "remount" the black rings to the gauge
cluster? Something easier and more durable than solder?
