I recently bought a package of parts from Europe. Included as part of the deal (it was all or none) was a CSL all alloy trunk lid. The lid is straight. The original color was Fjord blue (and still is on the inside). At some point it was painted red on the outside, which is now faded. I already own a CSL with an alloy boot lid, so this is why I am putting it up for sale. I paid a heap of money to have a wooden crate made in Belgium for all these parts and then another heap to airfreight these via DHL to the US.

This lid is all alloy, in and out. It is genuine original. It is not a steel lid with just an alloy skin applied. A magnet does not stick to it anywhere.

The only negative is that at some point the owner drilled four holes to install a spoiler. Those would need to be filled prior to paint. This lid came from a terminally rusty CSL originally from the UK but parted out on the continent. Stan, I do not know the VIN of the original car.

I plan to take some good quality photos and put them in a Dropbox this week. But I can directly send you photos from my phone now if you like.

The price is $3,000.00 USD plus freight. I am in southwest Florida, USA, zip code 33957.

Thanks
Scott

How much for the wooden crate? :)

Look forward to the pictures, I may be interested.

Weight

About 23 pounds but this includes the latch assembly, the steel hardware into which the hinge screws insert and the rubber rear spoiler

Arde, for you I can construct a crate of Brazilian Pepperwood. My personal crate smith that I have on staff used to work making oak barrels for the best vineyards in Napa. His crate itself is a work of art. Some of his body shop crate work will be featured in the automobilia auction at Gooding this summer in Pebble Beach, in fact. Today's crate price of 12,000 USD will seem like a bargain ten years hence. No one will say you bought it for too much, just that you bought it too soon.

PM me and I can email you pics and video directly. The pix I post through tap a talk never turn out right.
