German low mileage car

I spoke to the selling dealer in Germany through the number provided. Says he has records and mileage documentation. He is sending to me.

Apparently a USA phone #, Italian registration, car is in northern Germany , seller's eBay registration is Romania. Talking about the new, global economy. The only thing certain is that it looks like a nice car and those seats don't look like they have any miles on them.

Sold 26,667. Good buy I think. I hope someone here got it. I would have paid that or more but you are right, I have too many already and am really wondering about doing another restomod with S54, S85 or N55

I exchanged some notes with the seller but he was not willing or was unable to send photos of the undercarriage.

I am sure this is a good buy at that price - assuming it was a legitimate purchase. I did find it odd to post a 100% original E9 up at no reserve on his first attempt to sell it. The winning bidder might have been a friend with a "reserve-like" maximum bid. Buying from Europe is fine but it better be exceptional with no question marks.

So did anyone hear back on the legitimacy of this car. @ccr2002 : Did you hear back with regards to the documentation? If it is legitimate it just seems like far too low a price... that should have been a 50k car with 15k miles. I considered the feedback too, but sooooo many red flags. Even if you talk to someone does not validate legitimacy though.

I received some "documentation" but no slam dunk indicator of mileage. The seller stopped responding to my emails - may have been on vacation which certainly would not help the sale. I was not about to bid on a car overseas with any question marks about the seller or the car. I am still left with questions on both. I would assume I am not the only one as this car would certainly have gone higher.

I'm sure we both got the same documents. Italian registration items it looked like. It will be interesting if he reaches out to anyone here.

Nice finds. So legit car yes. BUT the listing on ebay is another matter. It would not be hard to grab the photos and create the listing. AND if the listing was legit, despite no reserve, it would likely not have been sold for 27k. Will be interesting to keep an eye on.
