Removed from a 1973 3.0cs and a 1980 633csi I have two 4-speeds available for sale. They are both complete with shifter assembly as pictured and propeller shaft. The gearboxes turn freely and shift into gear easily so are mechanically fine.

I could not drive the one from the E9 as the car was totalled but that car was an original 4-speed and had only 110k miles so expect it is ver good. The one from the 633csi was a driver and was starting to whir on the main bearing. The release bearing was fine. Put another way, with the clutch pushed in, the gearbox ran totally quietly, but at idle there was a very slight whir. During driving you could not hear the sound.

The pics below are the included package which is the same for both gearboxes.

Both are good clean boxes... just the gear selector frames could do with a sandblast/sand and repaint to address the surface rust.

Both are clearly for mechanically driven speedos.

$400 each

Needless to say, the bell housing can be interchanged with the 5-speed box and just for one of those these are already of good value. Also I am happy to help with shipping.
