Getrag 265 5 speed rebuilder wanted

Hello I live outside of Philadelphia, PA. I replaced a bad trans with another unit I bought and wanted to have my old 265 Getrag rebuilt. I believe the shift forks are bent. Any recommendations appreciated. Post reply, pm me or email me at neal (dot) friedant (at) gmail (dot) com

It's fairly well discussed here already. It's quite expensive and few shops will touch them. But not impossible

Metric mechanic claims to do them but I've heard that it it hard/impossible to get hold of them these days.

The bigger problem is parts I don't believe that the shift forks are available any more as the same for some of the bearings It may take a couple of boxes to make one good one

Repair is usually more than a replacement…
plenty of good trannys still out there.
