Dear all
I hope you guys are doing well as well all your love ones !
I been offered these gear box but I am not really sure what it is as well I have no Clue what the bellhousing will fit
The gear box is in really good shape and there are few marking/engravings that I would like to know where it was fitted and how can be use as well

On the last picture the number 150 appears 3 times on the top of the gear box as well on the bottom appears 000055EU Which I have no idea what are those numbers for

As always your help is much appreciated

@HB Chris - Do we need a transmission FAQ?

@Alejandro Giraldo. The gearbox pictured It is a G265/5 close ratio dogleg transmission. Five gears but the 5th gear is 1:1, same as a four speed.

They are generally more valuable than an overdrive, but not often as desirable for the average driver. They are by no means difficult to sell.

BTW, behind the bellhousing you should find a production date stamp near the input shaft.

Thank you Markos
Do you probably guess the car it was fitted?
As requested see attached picture with the dates

Alejandro, I suspect the "150" stampings indicate that the separate housing pieces are a matched set, either because they were machined together, or were checked for alignment of various bores and registers.

Does anyone have a few hi-res pics of a Getrag 262 trans?

Some decent pics recently added here:

The 262 bellhousing does bolt up and work with the 262 front case of the G265/5. I gifted my 262 but kept the bellhousing for the dogleg.

Thx, got the 262 pics, anyone have pics of the rare ZF Five Speed?

The five speed is a ZF S5-18/3. There are pics here and there on the forum.

Example:

that looks like an M30 bellhousing.

But then again, no clue what an S14 bellhousing looks like.

Defintely non-motronic.

Hello Rob
That is correct is an M30 bellhousing and we never said that it was an e30 and now knowing the date on the transmission we know know it was not belongs to an e30
This is the engine that is on my 2002 right now and it came with its original gearbox

Thanks buddy
