My '73 3.0CS still has its original blue and yellow plate (in the trunk). Since I bought the car in Idaho, the DMV made me get a new license plate when I registered it back in CA, and wouldn't let me put the blue plate on, even though it used to be on this car!
I've been told the only way to put a old blue plate back on a car is if it is a vanity plate, or pre 1968.
Any other tips?
I'd love to find one of those "### BMW" plates I believe Crevier ordered from the DMV in the 70s. I bet I could convince the DMV that it's a vanity plate!
Thanks for any tips.
