Mine didn't work, looks to be 2 pieces fused together. Nothing to lose so I ran a Dremel cutting wheel along the seam , not all the way through, perhaps 1/6th of an inch. This revealed the seam between the 2 pieces, easy to separate. The switch is quite simple but unique. Plunger/piston with a brass ring that is spring loaded between the two terminals. The piston is notched so goes back into the housing one way only. Clean the terminals, clean the shaft so it does not hang up and crazy glue back together. I sense these never break since there are no posts but just in case.
