glove box light switch

This should be simple to connect.
What am I missing? Is there supposed to be a bracket attached to the panel to the left of the glove box?

Hi Stan - my car has a small bracket on the outside of the side console. It is mostly obscured by glove box.

Stan, hope this pic helps. There is a small L shaped bracket from the center console. I had to use a silver hex nut to attach the switch to the bracket.

Better pic than I could have taken, looking through the left side of the glove box. I believe I removed my glove box completely to install this.
