I have a complete Golde sunroof deflector that includes both bases, hinges, springs, plastic pads and three deflectors. The bases have been polished and clear ceramic coated. These will replace the two existing bases held by six screws. Excellent condition but these are used, not brand new. Henry is asking $1,000 for his NOS Golde, unbelievable. Goldes were an optional extra on coupes, 2002s and early 911 Porsches. Price is $400 including shipping and insurance.

I have another complete set but the bases have not been polished and the springs are a little weaker but still function well and it is in very good condition. Photos available upon request. Price is $350 including shipping and insurance.

I have been helping Stan and waiting for his plastic pads which just arrived, they look beautiful, thanks Stan.

Do you guys notice that with the deflector there is more wind noise?

I find that with the deflector up there is a lot more wind noise then if I hold it down... On Porsches that use the exact same deflector this is NOT the case...

Wind noise

I spoke to Duane Sword as his coupe came with a wind deflector and he told me that

"I have never driven my coupe without the Golde sunroof deflector so I cannot compare the with and without sound. I can say that I have no issue or concern with the wind deflector. Infact I can still hear the beautiful sound of triple webers singing just fine"

Perhaps the Porsche part is a bit different than the BMW part I a copying?

Stan while driving just hold the deflector down

Stan,

While driving at speed just hold the deflector down for a few moments and you will notice the Majestic Sound of your Webers singing in perfect tune will be highlighted even more!

I have the same delector on my tii, and it definitely increases the noise level. But the cool factor makes it worthwhile IMHO.
