you could check the registry to see if someone has posted a car +- around your vin number.
If it helps you zero in, my CSi was built on 12 March 1973 and is about 300 VINs past yours.
Thanks Steve. I've looked up a vin registry for the e9's and my vin falls into a production date of between 01/74 - 12/75 and is listed as a 3.0CSIA. I still would like to find out the exact month and year it was manufactured

Only 215 of these made with the last 7 in 1975. VINs are not always sequential but it had to have been built in Dec 1974 or January 1975.
