Greetings all,
My name is Gus and I am from the San Francisco Bay Area, I recently acquired a 1969 2800CS E9. The car was my fathers and when he passed away 15 years ago it sat in my mom’s garage for those 15 years. She just recently offered it to me because she wants the space in the garage.
To my surprise my wife said yes I can have it when I asked her. Love my wife! The plan now is to get the car running and restore it later in the future; I just don’t have the time right now with work and school. I recently lost my E36 to metal file cabinet on the freeway so the 2800cs is coming in at a good time.
I was on this forum years ago after my father passed away, trying to keep the car running but I was in the military did not have time to keep it up and I completely forgot about this forum until a friend reminded me. I have always loved the style of the coupes and in my opinion they are one of the most beautiful vehicles ever made. I will post pics of the car soon.
