Hi all,

My name is Dave Black, from Scotland. I have owned the same 3.0CSi for about 30 years. I have been a member on here for many years, but a very infrequent visitor. About seven or eight years ago, other things came along and the car was sidelined to the garage. Work was stressful. I'm now retired from full time stuff but do seasonal work as a golf caddie at the Carnoustie Open Championship Golf Course - voted Best Course in the World 2019! I also divide my time between Scotland and Spain. Other hobbies came along including Vespa scooters and a motorhome, grandkids. My BMW was neglected.

Recently she had the tyres blown back up, a battery charged, and she drove out the garage to see daylight and water for the first time in years.

I think I really must give her the TLC she deserves, needs some minor repairs - I know nothing is minor ( but really it is! ) So it's good to be back. Some of the older members might remember me.

Please bear with me as I start to ask some newbie questions!

Hey Chris,

Malc. Now there's a blast from the past. I'm not sure if hes still around, or in the area.
I could probably find his address ( after lockdown ) and go investigate.

Dave, welcome back. I played Carnoustie in 2012 and learned why it is called "The Beast". My favorite detail was the "Van De Velde" name etched in concrete at the burn on the 18th. You Scots have a wicked sense of humour.
