Hagerty.com now has a classic car valuation tool on their website.
CSL's (non Bat) values have come down substantially with an average price of $67k for fall/2011.

Bat wing CSL's, in contrast, have appreciated 30% in that same period according to Hagerty, and they say a #2 CSL should go for close to $200k.

Take this kind of stuff with a large grain of salt as it's unlikely that this analysis contains any private sales data.

interesting,

but those number don't make a lot of sense to me... when were the values for the regular CSL ever that high? Also, doesn't appear to differentiate between the Series 1 cars and the others?

Our cars are so misunderstood.

like I said, big grain of salt

In the Hagerty price books called Cars that Matter, we seem to have the opposite problem. Non-bat CSL's are valued at under $50k, which is just as stupid as $140k.

I have customer cars that have been insured for way over these "Haggerty values" for a CSL, insured by Haggerty, and these cars are not CSLs.

Insurance companies will always under value a car . . value apparaisals should be done by an independant company like Automotive Appraisal Group.
