Hi all,

I just discovered this forum. I find it full of interesting information. I'm the happy owner of a 3.0 CSI since about ten years now. I bought the car in a scrapyard after it was flooded up to the roof some years earlier. The car had remained there under the sun, being moved from one place to another in the yard with a forklift. It's quite a miracle I got it complete. The good side was that it was a low mileage car and quite rust free. The bad side was that it was far from being in good shape. And for the ones who have revived flooded cars, they won't be surprised to hear me saying this was my first, and will be my last experience... Anyway, after a lot of work and quite some money, the car is now restored, and I enjoy it during summer when I go back to Europe (am currently in the US). Here are two pictures, taken in the French Alps:

The trick is to convince friends and others that these cars are fantastic in all senses. I have one friend who has one. He bought it about 10 years ago while in his mid 30s. It´s not a very good car and he rarely uses it.
Another friend would like one, but doesn´t know anything about them or classic cars in general. Just says that he always liked it, from the early 70s when he was too young to even drive it. He has the means to buy a really good one.

Once people have driven them, they start to get excited, but it rarely results in them buying one. Then we have all the guys who buy modern/new Maseratis, Porsches, Jaguars, Aston Martins etc. Why don´t they dare be different and buy a classic car instead???

I have Jaguars from the late 50s and the 60s and would never dream of buying a new sports car. Don´t even want to be seen in one. I have several E9s too of course.
