Hello all,
A happy, healthy and successful 2019 to all the members and their loved ones.
May the E9 Gods provide us all the parts and more to make our E9 the perfect old timer we’ve always wanted it to be. Big thanks to the Admin guys, Dan and Mark, to host and keep up this spectacular forum for all us addicts.
Best wishes

Keshav

May the road rise to meet you in your E9,
may the wind be ever at your back, drying any moisture in the undercarriage.
May the sun shine warm upon your face, and not overheat you in that glass canopy
and the rains fall soft upon your fields. while your coupe sits in the garage safe and dry
And until we meet again, in Saratoga, Asheville or Monterey
may God hold you in the palm of his hand. because you feel that way in a coupe

 HAPPY NEW YEAR

Happy New year to some of the nicest People I have found on this great forum and would love to meet one day!

May the problems in way of your Restorations be resolved quickly !

May the Procrastinations give ways to Progress!

May the enthusiasm and passion for our E9 continue to push us forward

May the rides in our Coupes remain without troubles or accidents

May our wives continue to look us with smile (or the other way )and still love us after all the attention (and money) our coupes take away from them!

May the BMW classic division come to their senses that support our passion for the father of their M sport division !

May the new expensive paint job continue to shine with little wax and effort , without developing bubbles !

May all the great people on this forum supporting our passion remain healthy, happy ,intrested and willing to continue along !

May the passion for our coupes won’t ever be labeled as mania when we are sober!

And may the rides in our coupes continue to put smiles on our faces!

Cheers and Best wishes to all!

Yes, exactly what Stan said:-)))

As we get ready to bury Mom this week (96.11 years old), I am reminded of the people and things that matter, and ones that don't. It is surprising the retrograde motion that your brain goes into, the memories of the people that shaped your character, and the passions that you developed. Mom was an artist that taught me to appreciate beauty, dad was more a pragmatist that taught me the difference between sh*t and shinola. Somewhere in there grew the seed of bmw's and many things german. I convinced dad that bmws (and mercedes for him later) were more practical than the GM land-yachts that his company allowed him to lease...and he and mom were hooked...I was allowed to buy a used 69 2002, in lieu of braces for my teeth. I then knew that my parents were something special! Mom always said, "better to want what you have, than to have what you want"...
Sorry, I digress...My new years wish: Love and truly appreciate, most importantly, those around you. All of them. Even try on the ones you don't like. And appreciate how lucky we all are to own such beautiful and practical vehicles as our e9's. Thanks to everyone on this board for the help and patience. Happy trails to all for the new year.

Postscript: Last year, I finally bought the frivolous 68 datsun roadster that dad said no to when I bought the 02...currently looking for a used, practical rollbar...
